Self-Driving Semi Trucks

The artificial intelligence world is coming for us all, but I think it will be positive if the humans who design it put actual common-sense practices into it. Furthermore, self-driving trucks are part of the AI revolution that is coming; however, it will require considerable effort and common-sense practices to make it work correctly. Of course, everyone thinks it will take over in a few years, but if you look at history, it will take a lot longer than that to be put into service and replace all truckers. However, I personally do not think this will happen for a long time because a car is not an 80,000-pound tractor with a trailer. Even with a human in the truck, which most companies that work on this do not understand, driving a truck is an art; people might not believe that, but it is true. Consequently, a person cannot just coldly grab a steering wheel and take control of a fluid situation in a split second. Even if the most significant truck driver could save it, this might only work maybe 3 out of 10 times at most. So, for the sake of all the families driving on the road today, I hope these companies put great science with great common sense. Love to hear anybody’s thoughts on this subject.
